How we compared
We read each vendor's own site, not review aggregators, and recorded what it says it does, at what price, for whom. We did not enter any product behind a login, so claims about the quality of matching are theirs, not ours. Four questions drove the table, because they are the four that decide how much reading lands back on you:
- What arrives automatically? A list, a score, or a decision.
- Is there a real go/no-go, and is it automatic or a paid manual step?
- Does it show you what it rejected, with the reason? This is the only way to audit a filter.
- What do you have to give it to start? Keywords and codes are a maintenance job; a domain is not.
What none of the other tools do
Show you the skips. Every tool in this table filters. Only one lists what it filtered out and why, in the same email as the good news. Tenderstria's own FAQ answers the fear ("what if it misses one?") with "low-scoring tenders still appear, just ranked lower". BidScout ships a minimum match score that hides weak matches. Tendly charges credits to look. If a judgment product will not show its rejections, you cannot tell a quiet morning from a blind one.
Where each one is genuinely stronger than TenderVerdict
- Coverage breadth. Tender Navigator, Tenderstria and Tendify read far more portals and countries than our four feeds. If you bid across many EU national markets below the EU thresholds, they see notices we do not. Our coverage page states the limits.
- Workflow depth. Tendify and Tenderstria are workspaces: pipelines, comments, document chat, competitor tracking. We deliver a verdict and a shortlist, not a place your team lives all week.
- Award data. TenderScout links live tenders to past award notices to show who won last time and at what price. Useful, and not something we do yet.
- Price floor. Tender Navigator's free daily plan and €39 entry, Tendly's €29 and BidScout's €49 undercut us. They are cheaper because they forward matches; the reading is still yours.
- Chat delivery. Jorpex posts to Slack and Teams. We are email and MCP today.
Where TenderVerdict fits, and where it does not
It fits a UK or EU digital-services firm of two to twenty people that wants the reading done: one email at 8am with a decision on each relevant tender, the reasons, the skips, and a line saying how many notices were checked. It does not fit a bid team that wants a portal-count arms race, a shared Kanban board, or coverage of small national contracts outside the UK and France. If that is you, the tools above are honest choices and we have linked their pricing.

Is there a genuinely free tender alert service?
Yes. Tender Navigator has a free plan with daily scheduling, TenderScout offers free TED search, BidScout and Tendly have free tiers with view or credit caps, and TenderVerdict's free plan judges the week's tenders every Monday. Free tiers differ mostly in how much reading they leave to you.
Will an AI tender tool tell me whether to bid, or just that a tender exists?
Most return a match percentage or a ranked score and leave the decision to you. Where a real go/no-go exists it is usually a paid, manual step that needs the tender documents uploaded. TenderVerdict returns a BID, STRETCH or SKIP decision on every relevant notice automatically, with the reason, and shows the skips.
Which tools show the tenders they decided to skip?
Of the tools compared here, only TenderVerdict lists rejected tenders with a one-line reason in every brief. The others rank low matches lower, hide them behind a minimum score, or do not surface them.
Why are prices in different currencies?
We quote each vendor in the currency it publishes. Converting would let us round in our favour; the table is meant to be checkable against the vendor's own page.
How often is this page updated?
Prices were checked on 6 September 2026. We re-check when a vendor changes its pricing page or when a reader tells us; the change is dated in the sources note.
